Finalists: Tanner Leblanc (St. Paul's) vs.
Caleb Loyd (Clay)
| Fresh off of a win at the
previous week's Mandeville Open, Tanner Leblanc did not slow down.
Using relentless leg-riding that teases an opponent into thinking he is
overriding, Leblanc cradled his way through his opponents to the finals. Clay's
Caleb Loyd, however, made him work for his championship. Loyd held
Leblanc to only a 2-0 lead in the first round. But in the second
period Leblanc reversed Loyd and scored two nearfall points.
Leblanc added another four points in the final round while allowing Loyd
only two. At the end Leblanc had a 10-2 victory. |
