Former Destrehan High School, Emmanuel College and Campbellsville University standout Abby Nette placed second at today's U23 Junior Nationals in Omaha, Nebraska.

In the 32-wrestler 57 kg. bracket Nette, competing for the Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club of  Scottsdale, AZ, received a first-round bye, pinned her round-two opponent in 1:14, won her quarterfinal match 12-6 and her semifinal match 7-2 before falling to top-seeded Xochitl Mota-Petis of Rise Wrestling of Napiersville, Illinois.

The editor does not know exactly what this means for Ms. Nette.  She qualified for the Olympic Trials by winning the 2019 Nationals, so this may, or may not as she finished exactly as she was seeded, change the weight class' rankings.
