This was a match Jesuit needed.  It was the first of two between Jesuit and the Catholic Bears, who, at this point, were two points ahead of the Blue Jays.  Harris, however, had defeated his opponent, second-seeded Catholic senior Grant Grizzaffi, twice earlier by scores of 5-0 and 9-4.  This time Harris won 6-2.  That's only a four-point margin, but a little caution is allowed in the state finals.

This was the only weight class in which all top six seeds were on the six podium levels.

C3: Gehrig Sanders (DUT) defeated Preston Tramonte (StA) 7-0 In a January 7th dual meet Tramonte defeated Sanders in 4:37.  The kid's first name is Gehrig, so he should never be underestimated.
