Archbishop Shaw only entered nine wrestlers into the Hahnville Tiger Clash, held on December 17th at Hahnville High School.  Yet that was enough as six of the Eagles won individual championships and the other three added a runner-up and two third-place finishes.  Shaw scored 158.5 points, outscoring host Hahnville by 28 points.  Destrehan placed third.

Shaw's six champions were Chase Termine, Giovanni Malta, Carson Dalton, Brandon Crespo, Mason Wilson and Raymond Howard.  Hahnville had three champions in Alex Cook, Davin Wieland and Jayden Boyle.  Jacob Britt and Gideon Bowman won titles for the third place Destrehan Wildcats.  John's Ehret's Blake Adams, Glen Oak's Aiden McCartney and East Jefferson's Mark Boyd won the remaining individual titles.

The event was small, with only nine teams, so it was run on a "wrestle when a match and a mat are available" basis, which was just fine.   It was run smoothly and efficiently, and it still had an awards ceremony at the end.  This type of event, however, makes it difficult to make sure every weight class was photographs, and the editor owes apologies to the wrestlers in the 132 lbs., 138 lbs. and 195 lbs. weight classes.

A plethora a wrestling coaching and mat legends were on hand, including Dean Tessitore, the former John Ehret coach, Dan Erwin, the former Hahnville coach,, Dean Tessitore, the Thomas Jefferson coach), 1978  and 1979 Bonnabel state champion and Destrehan coach John Fogarty, and Grace King head coach Roberto Furtado, a 1982 and 1984 Bonnabel state champion.
