Champion: Jacob Ramirez of Rummel

Byrd's Demetri Teddie's last full six-minute match was a January 4th 10-7 loss to St. Amant's Jaden Snyder.  In his next 13 matches up until the Ken Cole finals, he only went into the third period twice.  Rummel's Jacob Ramirez went the "full six" twice at the Ken Cole and twice at the Louisiana Classic.  The conditioning showed as Teddie lost a 13-4 lead going into the third period and allowed Ramirez to take him down twice, the last time leading to a fall in 5:37.  Ramirez was voted the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler award in the lower weight classes, having defeated Teddie, St. Amant's Corey Brownell and Caruso Signorelli of Holy Cross.
