Brother Martin's Daniel Croy made quick work of the Division I state finals match against third-seeded Peyton Bass in 2018.  Until this tournament the 126-pounds weight class belonged defending Division I state champion Michael Lundin.  Bass appears to have superseded Lundin to be the one to beat at 126-pounds in Division I.  Bass' only two losses occurred in early December and he is undefeated at 126 pounds.  He won the Ken Cole over then red-hot Hunter Broussard of Comeaux.  Jesuit's Luke Eccles, who scored a one-point victory over Lundin in the District 9-5A Championships, should be seeded second (wrong), followed by Lundin (wrong) and Broussard (wrong), if he is healthy after an injury in the second round.  If Brother Martin's Connor Hoffman competes (he was injured in the quarterfinals and did not place in this event), he should take Broussard's place as the fourth-seed (wrong).  Like Romano at 120 lbs., Lundin should not be taken lightly as a defending Division I state champion.
