Crusaders continue
tournament streak by dominating the Catholic League Championship

The Brother Martin Crusaders, fresh off wins at the Louisiana Classic and the
Division I Duals State Championship, added one more title just prior to entering
the state championships. The Crusaders won the new Catholic League
Championship with 252 points, 45.5 points more than Holy Cross. Jesuit
placed a distant third with 130 points, followed by Shaw, Rummel and John
Curtis. The event was held on February 3rd at Holy Cross High School.

Eight Crusaders won championships: Connor Hoffman at 106 lbs., Daniel
Croy at 126 lbs., Riley Horvath at 132 lbs., Luke Cotton at 138 lbs.,
Patrick Evans at 145 lbs., Michael Clapp at 182 lbs., Cameron Frederick
at 195 lbs. and Mack Brown at 285 lbs. Jesuit's Nathan Koenig,
Paul Treuting and Perry Ganci place first, as did Holy Cross' Stafford
Agee, IV, at 113 lbs. and Michael Lundin at 120 lbs. Eduardo
Garcia was the winner at 170 lbs. for the Division II Shaw Eagles.
