While not necessarily a nouvelle expérience for the Crusaders, Brother Martin teams found themselves in first-place spots in two events after Friday's wrestling.

At the Stewart Schay Black Horse Invitational, held at Houston High School in Germantown, Tennessee, the Crusaders are 29 points ahead of second-place Christian Brothers of Tennessee, prior to the semifinals and associated rounds on Saturday.  Upon entering Saturday's action, the following 12 Crusader starters will participate in the semi-finals:

Connor Hoffman, Ethan Castex, Logan Bertot, Luke Cotton, Lane Boudreaux, Alex Duncan, Patrick Evans, Noah Roux, Mason Massicot, Garret Legendre, Kyle West and Mack Brown.  Additionally, Jake Spellman and Justin Leal advanced to the semifinals for the Crusaders' "B" team.

After Friday's competition at the George Trygg Memorial Tournament, held at Grace King High School in Metairie, the Crusaders have a 6.5 lead over Covington, followed by De la Salle, John Curtis and Bonnabel.
