Seven Jesuit Blue Jays did well enough in their pool rounds to merit spots on the 16-man Gold championship brackets to be contested on Saturday in the Kansas City Stampede.

Four others will participate in the Silver championship brackets.  They are Luke Eccles at 120 lbs., Jordan Giewat at 126 lbs., Jackson DeGruy at 132 lbs. and Peyton Cox at 285 lbs.

The editor is not familiar with the style of the FloArena information presentation, nor with the scoring rules of the tournament, but it appears team points will not be awarded until Saturday, and probably only in the Gold Division.  Jesuit has seven competitors in the Gold championships, as do six other teams.  Four teams have eight Gold entrants and three have nine.  Tuttle, Oklahoma, has 11 and Park Hill of Kansas City has 12.

Kendon Lee Kayser of Stillwater High School (nee Brusly) is also in the Gold 145 lbs. championship bracket by virtue of winning his pool on Friday.  Should Kayser and Larriviere each win their first two matches, those two will meet in the semifinals.
