East Ascension's Landon
Wheat attempts a double-leg takedown of Brother Martin's Seth Gambill in
the 132 lbs. finals. |
SYNOPSIS
The Crusaders are not lacking good wrestlers at 132 lbs. Their
point-scorer, Patrick Evans, only had one Louisiana and three out-of-state
losses and was the top seed. Seth Gambill, the second seed but a non-point
scorer for Brother Martin, had only one Louisiana and one out-of-state loss. A literally
last-second move by East Ascension's Landon Wheat prevented the two Crusaders
from a likely finals match. Instead, they would meet in the semifinals
which, for the near future at least, would determine Brother Martin's starter at
that weight.
